Club Scrap April Artist Team Challenge

Spring has finally arrived here in Upstate New York!

Can I tell you how much better life is when the sun is shining and there is no snow on the ground!

To celebrate the arrival of Spring the Club Scrap Artist Team Challenge this month was to create handmade  flowers and/or butterflies to accent our pages, cards or projects.

For the challenge I decided to use this months Dahlia kit to create a layout. My cousin recently got married and this kit is perfect for some wedding photos.

I used my the solid colored paper from the kit to create roses and the butterflies. I had a butterfly punch in my stash and used my Tim Holtz pine cone die to create the roses.

I used my Moroccan Spice bonus stencil with iridescent medium to add some texture.

Club Scrap Paris Flea Market Blog Hop

I am totally in love with this month's Paris Flea Market kit! The colors, the graphics, the beautiful paper lace mats. I just LOVE it all!

Because I love this kit so much, I knew I needed to make something special for the blog hop. I decided to add to my dress collection.

I have always been a Barbie girl and a few months back I picked up some Barbie dolls on sale. I had decided that when making paper dresses I really wanted the forms I use to have heads.

 I created the skirt from the 81/2 x 11 Deluxe Pink Print, I then trimmed the skirt with the Paper Lace Mats.

 I used the plain dark grey paper to create the top and used glitter glue to add some dimension.

I created a shawl with the beautiful pink pearl paper and again used the lace paper mats for the trim.

 I inked the skirt with Club Scrap Ash and Fushia hybrid ink pads.

Club Scrap March Artist Team Challenge

Paris Flea Market Challenge
Our challenge this month was to use the Paris Flea Market Paper Lace Mats in a unique way.

Every month I create a Pinterest Mood Board for the current Club Scrap kit.

While looking for Paris Flea Market inspiration, I found this picture.



I loved how beautiful and simple it was and decided to recreate the look for the background of my scrapbook layout. I started by hand cutting circles from the paper lace mats.

Then I glued them to the light grey paper from the Paris Flea Market Kit with the BEST glue EVER..... Club Scrap Bookbinding Glue!

After letting it dry, I added mats, picture and Paris Flea Market embellishments!

Club Scrap Artist Team February Challenge

Weathered Florals

February's Artist Challenge was to create a project using the beautiful Club Scrap Weathered Florals unmounted stamps!



 



I decided to use my stamps to create a scrapbook layout.

I found this adorable picture of my daughter and I knew it was perfect for these stamps.

I stamped the single flower a number of times on my white background paper that I spritzed with cotton candy ink. I felt like it needed a pop of color so I also stamped the flower on some pink paper and cut them out.

 

I used the large floral stamp to add some depth to one of my background mats.

 

 

And I used the stripe stamp under my title.

Club Scrap Crewel & Unusual Blog Hop

This month I revisited a past Club Stamp project that was originally from the Aspen kit.

Thanks to Marie who has been challenging herself to complete all those old projects, she inspired me to recreate the Aspen Card Caddy using my Crewel & Unusual Kit.

 This project showed you how to create five separate boxes each with two trays to store your cards in.

I created the boxes with the solid 12 x 12 papers from the Crewel & Unusual kit.

For the inside trays I used Club Scrap paper from my stash.

 

 

The original project had the stack tied together with ribbon with a bow on top. I decided to use velcro on my ribbon and cover it with one of the cut aparts from the kit.

Club Scrap Celebrate Blog Hop

This month's Club Scrap kit is such a cheerful and happy collection. The colors are so vibrant and the silver sparkle paper is my absolute favorite! I really wanted to showcase the beautiful paper so I decided to make a fun Valentine banner for my mantel.

 I started by using my Cricut to cut the bases from the kits blue paper.

I cut 4 x 5.5 inch rectangles from the deluxe black print.

I cut the heart from the beautiful silver sparkle. I used pink paper from the Love Ink kit.
And since you can never have enough sparkle or bling I added Swarovski crystals!

Club Scrap Circle Challenge

Club Scrap Artist Team January Challenge

I decided to use this month's challenge to incorporate circles into a project as opportunity to highlight my FAVORITE Club Scrap circle,
Stamp Star 1 Unmounted Rubber!

What I love the most about these stamps are all the possibilities.
You start by stamping the circle numerous times on different colored Club Scrap papers.

Then you just get to cutting.
I had so much fun removing different areas of the stamp and then reassembling the layers with foam tape.

 

 I used a glue pen and fine glitter to bling out this design!
