Club Scrap Cape Cod Blog Hop!!!!!

Welcome back Club Scrap Blog Hoppers! I decided to participate in the monthly blog hop because I felt it would give me the push I needed to find time to be creative. I had lofty dreams of elaborate projects every month but alas life, family, and work continues to get in the way. I made a quick gift card holder for my nephew's birthday and to be honest I wasn't even going to post it. I had hoped to decorate it more but I ran out of time for the hop. I decided to post it anyway because I wanted to show that Club Scrap speaks for itself. You don't have to have a lot of time or even a lot of talent to make a beautiful handmade gift! Club Scrap products make it easy!

This is a Club Scrap ATC Expandable File. I swapped out the paper it came with and covered it with Cap Cod paper since it is for my nephew I thought the red, blue and green were a perfect color combination.
I opted for a velcro dot closure instead of the ribbon since it is for a guy but I also like the velcro idea when using it to carry gift cards! I used a Happy Birthday sticker from my stash. Will add gift cards and it's good to go! A beautiful, quick handmade gift!

Club Scrap's National Scrapbook Day Blog Hop!

Welcome Club Scrap Blog Hoppers! Time for crafting has not been my friend lately so a have a quick card for you today. With Mother's Day right around the corner I took this opportunity to get some cards made.

I purchased a ton of paper during Club Scrap's recent paper sale. I stamped a sheet of white using stamps from the Mother's Day kit. I colored the stamps with the Farber-Castell Big Brush Pens. I just love the colors! I added some bling so my card would also qualify for the May 1st challenge. Added some ribbon from a Club Scarp grab bag, a Happy Mother's Day and there you have it!

Club Scrap March Bookshelves Blog Hop!!!!!

Welcome Club Scrap blog hoppers! Since this month's kit was "Bookshelves" I felt I needed to make a book for this month. A while back I ordered a Tim Holtz kit that made a small Holiday Journal. I started out by replicating it using some book board and binder clips from Club Scrap. All the paper and stamps are from Bookshelves. I bound the book using Ranger sticky back canvas and finished it off with a Tim Holtz knob.

The pages are 3x5 and after making it I felt like it was a small space to work with. I decided I would use it for my book club and that I would make another one in a bigger size. This is what I came up with.

It is made the same way, I attached a small binder clip to a strip of book board using brads, and then two pieces of book board covered and all bound with inked sticky back canvas. The pages are 5x5 and I am so much happier with this size.

I even made some pocket by cutting the paper 5 x 10 and folding it in half then using washi tape along the top and bottom edges.
All of the paper used is from the Bookshelves kit. I used unmounted stamps from different  Club Scrap kits to embellish my pages.  These are just a few more of my pages.

Club Scrap Up, Up, and Away Blog Hop!!!!!

Welcome  Up, Up and Away Blog Hoppers! So this is my first ever blog hop and I am really excited to share my project with you! I decide that I wanted to think "outside the box" for this challenge. I usually make cards or scrapbook layouts with my Club Scrap kits but I wanted to do an art journal page instead to challenge myself to incorporate my Club Scrap products in a different way. This is what I came up with.

I had made the bases for the journal a year ago and bound them with my Bind it All. The left page base is actually blue paper from CS Science Kit, the right hand page is CS Private Eye paper. I sponged on Gold and White acrylic paint to the paper. Here it is:

I knew I wanted a Harlequin feel to my pages so I used a Dylusions stencil and Spray Ink in London Blue. Then I stamped a border using Club Scraps Short Sleeve Pants unmounted stamps. I used the Harlequin stamp with Perfect Medium and brushed each diamond with different color Perfect Pearls. I then added silver dots that came in CS Vogue kit.

I then stamped some of the Up, Up and Away unmounted Borders and Background balloon stamps on the background with CS hybrid ink in onyx. I knew I wanted to add depth with my balloons so I decided to purchase the digital kit and print out the various balloons from the kit and in different sizes. Now I DO NOT digital scrap at all but I have fallen in LOVE with digital stamps. The great thing about them is you can size the stamp to fit your needs. You can print it in basic black or in a color, just like using colored ink. Here is a sample of a sheet I printed:

I colored in the stamps with colored pencils and markers. I added some bling, Liquid Pearls and glitter to some of the balloons. I printed out my quote "There's no place like home" on the blue/aqua paper from Up, Up and Away. I cut out each word and drew around them with a fine tip black marker. Then I put it all together! Below is each side close up!

Thanks for visiting my blog today. I hope you enjoyed yourself. Your next stop on the Up, Up and Away Blog Hop is Anne, over at http://crzymomstidbits.blogspot.com/.  Have a wonderful day!

Another Square

So I has such a good time cutting squares for the TOFF Challenge I decided to make another card. I again used all Club Scrap paper. Purple, black and green from Wheel and Sprocket Kit, the red is from All That Jazz. Image is from The Octopode Factory. Enjoy!

TOFF Squares

I'm back! I promised myself that when I got home from the October Club Scrap Retreat I would start creating again. I decided to start with the The Octopode Factory Friday Challenge! This week's challenge was squares. I used all my favorite things to create this card. I used all CLUB SCRAP papers from Wheel and Sprocket kit. The Witch hat image is one from Octopode Factory and I colored it with alcohol markers. I added some stars to the black squares and some purple glitter spray to the green squares.

TOFF #1 Alice in Wonderland

I am taking a leap and finally participating in a challenge blog. A few months back I stubbled across The Octopode Factory and have fallen in love with all of her images. This has also led me to the world of digi stamps. I was quite resistant to the idea at first but there were images that I just had to have that were not available in rubber. I am really loving being able to print the images in whatever size I need.
So Lily has started The Octopode Factory Friday Challenge Blog. Here is my first attempt at a challenge. This week the challenge was Alice in Wonderland and I used the digital Alice image and the cupcake is a rubber stamp. If you haven't checked out The Octopode Factory yet, What are you waiting for?
