Club Scrap Paradise Blog Hop

Welcome to Paradise!

If you arrived here from Julie's Blog, you are in the right place. If you have lost your way or wish to return to the Club Scrap Blog go HERE.

I was so excited for the release of this kit. I had begged Tricia for a very long time to include flamingos in one of the Club Scrap kits, I tried my hardest back when giving ideas for the Gnome for Christmas kit to include a flamingo but I couldn't convince her. Somehow at Retreat this year (it must have been a weak moment for Tricia or she just got tired of my whining) I got her to consider a flamingo! I pitched my best idea of a "Paradise" inspired kit that of course would include my beloved flamingo. I started working on a power point presentation while in the airport waiting for my flight home. I was so excited!

I have to say I was also a little nervous. I had ideas and a vision in my head and I didn't know what Jac would do with my suggestions. As usual, Club Scrap did NOT disappoint, this kit is AMAZING. It was all I hoped for and more. Gosh I really love this club!

I got a little side tracked this month with making Christmas cards so I haven't spent as much time with Paradise as I hoped. I did manage some cards for the blog hop. My first card is a simple all occasion card starring my favorite flamingo. I used the Sunflower Sparkle Stickers to add a little bling.

Next up I used the super cute pineapple stamp. I stamped it twice and cut out the leaves from the second and layered them on to the first image. I see a lot of pineapples in my future!

For my next card I created a border aroung my card with one of the stamps and using my MISTI.  How great are all these stamps? Tropical drinks and guitars.

For my last card I again used the pineapple stamp. I made a mask of the image so I was able to create a group of pineapples. I was so happy with the results.

Thanks so much for stopping by today, Your next stop on the hop is Tina's Blog and do NOT forget to head back to the Club Scrap store and pick up your own piece of Paradise!

It's Christmas Thyme!

Welcome to the Club Scrap Christmas Thyme Blog Hop! If you arrived here from Roni's Blog, you are in the right place. If you lost your way or want to return to the Club Scrap Blog, go HERE.

Club Scrap released this years Christmas kit "Christmas Thyme" and isn't it just the cutest thing! I came across a tutorial for a paper bag album over at My Sisters Scrapper. I thought it would be a perfect gift!

What I really love about this album is it's ability to hold so many photos. Although you only use 6 paper bags to create your six pages, there are flaps and pockets on every page.

I used all the luscious papers from Christmas Thyme kit to cover every page, flap and tag.
The cut aparts included in the scrapbook kit are so incredibly cute.

There is even a waterfall on the back cover so I can include all the holiday photos.

These are pull-out tags that are stored in each paper bag. These tags will accommodate a 4x6 photo on each side!

The gold paper included in the kit is simply AMAZING! The pictures do not begin to show how beautiful  it is.

Thanks for hopping with us today. Your next stop is Annette's Blog. You can also return to Club Scrap HERE and pick up your very own Christmas Thyme collection!

Club Scrap November Artist Team Challenge

Welcome to the Club Scrap Artist Team Challenge!

If you arrived here from Tina's Blog, you are in the right place. If you have lost your way or would like to return to the beginning, you can return to Club Scrap.

I just LOVE the Girlfriend Unmounted stamps and I knew they would work perfectly for a project I had been planning in my head.  I started with an 8 x 8 canvas that I purchased at Michael's.

I started by applying a layer of Club Scrap Book Binding Glue to the canvas.

I then took pages from an old phone book and covered the canvas. I did this to create some texture on my canvas.

After my canvas dried I added a layer of gesso.

Once that layer dried I added a layer of acrylic paint in off-white and lavender. Using my Club Scrap Girlfriends Unmounted Stamps, I stamped along the edge of my canvas. I then colored in the floral images with some markers.

I originally wanted to cut a stencil of my quote on my Cricut but I stumbled with making it work. In the end I decided to just cut out the quote and adhere it to the canvas. I added glitter to the Believe to make it stand out (it did not photograph well).

I am pleased with my first attempt at a canvas but definitely need to work on the stencil piece!

Thanks for hopping along with us today! Your next stop on the hop is Roni's Blog and don't forget to return to Club Scrap HERE and play along!
