I have always had a thing for soldering irons. I know call me crazy. I remember my camera shop days and making bracelets out of solder. I just love to watch it melt. Just imagine then how excited I was when I found a class at Studio 34 Beads teaching how to make soldered pendants. I went and took the class yesterday. I had so much fun learning how to make these and met some wonderful crafters. Dianne Russel-Horn taught the class, you can check out her work here http://www.sixthfloordesigns.com/ and she was just awesome.
For the large pendant the first side is from a magazine with a stamped word and the colored side is Club Scrap's Artifacts stamp that I colored with watercolor pencils. The small square I made using mailing tags perfect pearls, Tim Holtz stamps and distress ink.
Purchased a ceramic floor tile at Home Depot today so I can solder at home. I have a feeling I'll be making alot of these.
